Construction
All Water Bunnie macerators have the following features:-
Electrical supply to 13 amp connector block via rear conduit hole. Motor is 1/2 h.p. 1425 r.p.m., 50 cycles single phase, capacitor start continuously rated. Starting load of 888W. Grind rings are of special corrosion resistant steel which remains sharp for the life of the product. The closure is made in ABS and the chute is rubber for quiet operation. A siphon break of 25mm air gap avoids all possibility of back syphonage into the water supply.

An automatic water regulator maintains an even flow of 7 litres (11/2 gallons) a minute during each operation ensuring complete cleaning.
 Installation
Direct connection to the mains supply or a header tank with a minimum head of 3.65 metres will ensure that a minimum of 5 p.s.i. is obtained. However, the head may be reduced to 2.0 metres by removing the flow washer in the solenoid. It is important that this washer MUST NOT be removed if the head is greater than 3.65 metres. A method of calculating the total flow in a system and other relevant advice will be supplied on request.

A minimum fall of 1 in 20 must be allowed from the macerator to the waste pipe. Each machine has a 50mm (2”) NB ‘S’ trap fitted internally.
