QD501 Bedhead
Unit
Separate compartments for low voltage (230Vac) and extra low
voltage (24Vdc).
Front cover plates, overall size: 324mm x 174mmH.
Left hand panel containing:
Two way and off rocker switch. 2.2uF capacitor for dimming
a 60watt bedhead light. Relay for control of the bedlight from
the handset. Fused connection unit for bedlight supply fitted
with a 3amp fuse. 13amp twin switched socket outlet. Dividing
fillet to separate 230Vac from 24Vdc.
Right hand panel containing:
Illuminated reset push with amber lens. Red emergency pull-push
switch.
Data socket for QD510/QD511/QD512/QD513 handsets.
Stethophone driver unit 220ohm impedance.
Headset parking hook.
Handset parking bracket.
The QD501 offers the following features:
Capability of decoding up to 16 programmes of sound. Will supply
patient to nurse speech facility when used with QD566 and QD567
nurse station units, QD545 Staff Speech Unit and QD511 handset.
The interface connecting PCB has connections
for:
Remote patient/bathroom call point with reassurance.
Staff presence switch/lamp.
Room lamp.
All call lamp.
Programmable (Corridor) Lamp.
Remote emergency pull-push switch with reassurance.
Remote cardiac call switch with reassurance intruder alarm
switch.
Local sounder mute switch when a sounder PCB is fitted.
There is a provision on the interface connecting PCB for fitting
a sounder PCB (QD559/QD557) with connections available for
supplying the output to sounder units (QD553/QD554).
Intruder alarm input (reset at nurse station).

printed for permanency. These units are sealed for protection against
spillages and can be sterilised by wiping with a sterilising solution.
