Distribution
of Audio Visual (AV) content has reached completely new levels with
the introduction of the Wandsworth Encoder. It enables you to distribute
any AV content from a multitude of sources, such as Video recorders,
DVD players and Cameras, directly across your own Ethernet network
using supported IGMP Multicast protocols.
It is
also possible, with consent of the content provider, to use the
Wandsworth Encoder to capture an encrypted TV channel by connecting
the encoder to a set-top box. All content is protected by using
a Wandsworth IPTVServer, models DVB-SF, DVB-TF or DVB-CF which
attach a unique encryption to the transmission protecting the content
(see separateWandsworth IPTV data sheet).
There are many applications; Live and Recorded broadcasts, Training and
Education, Video Conferencing, Sales Promotions, Lectures, News and Information,
Special Offers, Public Information.
Wandsworth Encoders are totally self-contained units; power is received
either by using Power over Ethernet (PoE) or by using External Power. They
are easily configured and managed with a simple to use graphical user interface
(GUI)
Two models are available; you can either have Single Encoder shown left
or in a rack-mountable 1u Triple Encoder version to the right.
